Angie Mikat

Managing Director

With over 25 years of experience in the retail and fashion industry, Angie Mikat is a recognized Human Resources leader and Executive Coach with a focus on talent acquisition and development.

With significant expertise in recruiting strategies, building talent pipelines and succession planning, she has worked with all levels of the organization from entry-level to senior executives. In addition, Angie’s experience moves beyond recruiting to developing talent through effective coaching. A certified ELI Master Practitioner, Angie also holds certifications both as an iPEC and Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder-Centered Coach and strives to improve leadership effectiveness through positive interactions and engagement. Using her knowledge to build leadership and development programs, competency models and coaching programs, Angie has led teams and individuals to success by developing competency and confidence. In 2016, she launched her consulting firm, NorthStar Career Directions, to provide recruiting and development support to both businesses and individuals.

Originally from Ohio, Angie obtained her bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a master’s degree from Penn State University in Organization Development & Change Management. Currently living in Florida with her husband and her dogs Ruby and Avery, she enjoys traveling, lifelong learning, knitting, running and fitness. A strong believer in giving back to the community, Angie volunteers with hospice visiting patients and families as well as supporting bereavement needs. Angie also volunteers with American Corporate Partners (ACP) as a mentor helping post 9/11 veterans and spouses transition from the armed services to the civilian workforce. In addition, she is an animal lover and works with animal rescue groups. Angie’s own dog, Avery, is a certified therapy dog providing comfort to those in need at hospice and in other special needs situations.

Dawn Belyeu-Long

Manager, Talent Acquisition

Dawn joined NorthStar Career Directions in June 2022 and is the lead recruiter. She loves to partner and build successful relationships with both clients and candidates.

With a strong ability to identify and assess talent, Dawn has a proven track record of finding and engaging top candidates for all levels of opportunities. With 20 years of career experience in corporate retail in various leadership roles, Dawn has a deep understanding of not only functional experience but leadership skills as well. Recruiting for all functions including finance, HR, technology and others, she also recruits for creative roles such as design, product development, merchandising and marketing.

Originally from Alabama, Dawn lives in Southwest Florida with her husband, two daughters, and her dog, Harper. When she is focused on recruiting top talent, Dawn loves to boat in the Gulf of Mexico and soak in the Vitamin Sea! Dawn also volunteers at her daughters’ school and participates in community outreach events.
